Absolutely! I am tired of hearing, "but it's 10 months away" what do you expect me to do? Wait till the last minute?!?

Oh yes! I understand you with all my heart. I can´t talk to anybody here... No one is really interested besides my MOH, but we don´t see eachother much now, because we are preparing our exams. My family (Mother) is really excited too... but she is tousends miles away. So... I come here and feel good and empowered.

And everyone is so funny!

Absolutely. And as you get closer, there will be constant meetings, crafting sessions, dress fittings, etc. to take up all of your time. It can feel a little lonely.

@MonkeysandBananas- I get that response a lot! People don't seem to want to get involved because they think we still have a while. Things take time!

I have to be honest in saying that none of my family has displayed a particular interest in helping me. Sure, they all say "if you need help" but when I'm cutting my invites night after night they just walk in and say, "are you still doing that?".

Absolutely. The only person I don't feel like I'm annoying when I talk about anything wedding related is my mom. She's been awesome and helpful and interested. I think about wedding details constantly. FH tells me I spend too much time deciding on wedding stuff and I'm like really?? Who else is going to do it and when else am I going to get it done??

Same here....I mean I get the it's a year plus away...well no shit, it's a yr plus away but i'm doing all of this from 4 states away and crazy emails and phone calls. My fav is the FMIL who states I'm on her nerves b/c of a simple question that required a simple answer. "i don't want to rain on your parade."...oh no that's fine you're not raining, you're pissing all over it.

Me too!!! No one cares about what I am doing or any plans. I only have a little over 2 months to go and still no one cares. Oh well!

Yes once I got on here I felt among my peers, I told FH it's nice to have ppl in the same boat as me, ppl are excited but not as empathetic as ww ladies, I wish I had more time to be on here

I'm sure a part of it on my end is because we have over 2 years to go, but no one is interested at all in helping or even talking about some of our ideas.

Its frustrating because my FI's sister just got married in May and his family was non-stop about it. Whenever I mention wedding stuff around his mom, she walks away. Gotta love FMIL's

I do have my MOH who keeps saying she is going to have more fun planning my wedding then she did her own, so that helps.

Yes! I was engaged for about 19 months...I took breaks from planning because I was getting burnt out. Just do the big stuff first and then tackle the little details as you have time. It is hard to get much done when you're not in that frame of mind. No one else really cares about my wedding planning either but it might be better than them giving input. You can do it!

There are so many intricate details to wedding planning, unless you do it, I don't believe you understand just how involved it is. Regardless of how much time, there are so many decision to be made and it takes time. For those who put it all together in a few short months, kudos. My FH listens and has made some decisions but not even he truly gets it. I now understand why wedding planners are paid so much and wish I could afford one. I try and remind myself; even when people, ask not to say too much about it.

As I said, it can really be a lonely existence... On the plus side, it is so worth it!!

I feel the same way. WW has been such a help and I love that you ladies let me rant when my BP drives me crazy. Like today lol

Totally agree with what Amy said. Towards the end, it seems like friends start backing away a bit and the moms swoop in. It's borderline suffocating.

Can relate. I feel like this, you only get married once, your excited, your in love, and people should allow you to be!! Whether it be 10 months, or 22 months, you should be allowed to talk about your day and all that comes with it!! How about this, I am biologically the only child(I have a God Brother, and God Sister that I love). However, we have scheduled future appointments, fitting, etc. I talk to my mommy all the time about it. Yesterday, she cut me off before I could say anything, and told me not to talk about the wedding anymore right now! Excuse me???!!! Y'all know I haven't been right since.

Totally agree..no one cares about your excitement as much as you...sucks LOL everything i do is wedding related. i cant wait for it to be over! i'm a little tired of it myself too. lol aaaahhhhh im down to the 20s digits..thank the LORD!

I can't "officially" start planning or even announce the Engagement until my annulment goes through, so I feel like its all pent up inside. Only 1 of my friends actually knows about it.. So I come here and get to ask questions and learn.. Tell you what though, I LOVE parties and I will sit here and go over every single itty bitty detail of your wedding with each and every one of you <3
