So I'm planning my wedding without an engagement ring. The ring I want is $1,200 and we haven't been able to get it yet. Is it a big deal or not? It's hard not being able to post on Facebook that we're engaged, because everyone will want to see a ring that I don't have... I dont know what to do......

We have a wedding date set already and its spring of 2019 so I dont have much time I can push back without announcing...

    My sister never got an engagement ring. She and my brother in law are married 41 years.
