Planning Extremely Early?

I started planning early as well and I’m very glad that I did. It gave me time to buy things each month and set aside money each month. I was able to map out when and how we’d purchase all the items we needed and make payments to our vendors. Your definitely on the right track.

October 2023 here. We booked out venue to secure the date. We will be looking into everything else more seriously after the summer. Glad to know I'm not the only one looking ahead

I got engaged in 2018, planned for a 2020 wedding, and am having it in August 2021(finally!). Having a lot of time is great because some vendors will give you a rate for when you booked, not when the events is, which can save a ton of money!

February 2023 here! Started planning in July/August 2020 and honestly it has FLOWN. Venue and photographer are booked, started looking at florists, planning Save-The-Dates soon (started to get a few ideas). I’m planning on beginning to look at dresses in the Fall! All of a sudden it feels like the time is flying by!!!

I have my photographer, makeup, officiant, music/dj booked, my dress, all bouquets and boutonnieres (I made them myself), almost done with archway flowers, have a quarter of the stuff for my centerpieces and linens, my hair accessory and shoes. Groom, groomsmen, best man, bridesmaid, maid of honor, and mother's outfits are all picked.
My mom thinks I'm insane but I work at UPS during peak I'm working 6 days a week, up to 10 hrs a day, my fiance is in college until December of 2022, and we have a 2 year old daughter. I'm diying everything I can, so I'm not trying to make myself crazy by getting everything done last minute.

I want to start working on flowers but I have 0 time. Once the pandemic is over and nurses aren't needed as much maybe I can cut back hours and not work myself crazy 😂

Hi September 2023 here I am so glad im not alone here I definitely thought I I was doing this way to early lololol but great to know it's not . I have my wedding planner already and we are looking into venues now . I have been picking up little things for my favors .

So far, I have the venue, photographer, DJ, videographer, hair and make up artist!

That's exactly why we decided to wait to plan everything also to do payment plans it's so much better and we don't have to rush and wonder where the next payment is gonna come . By sept 2023 is want everything to be paid off and just enjoy the day . Is that wishful thinking lololol I dont know .

Too be honest it is a little early to be planning a 2023 wedding but with Co-vid 19 and all you kinda have to start planning now. Get ideas, start figuring everything out, have a back-up plan, have a back-up for the back-up plan, hey even do a back-up FOR the back-up back-up just to be safe. Be prepared for anything and everything now so no stress and no worries of oh no how am I supposed to do this? People need to fly in and now they can't or hotels are closed, restaurants closed or less capacity, gathering are limited to less people, have to wear a mask just to dance and there are people who have trouble wearing the mask.... So many things can happen instead of oh I love that place oh it is booked.... I am planning for a July 2023 wedding but taking the time to do it so as not to stress out or worry. I hope the best to everyone getting married now and in the future. Also some advice, call the places and talk to them get an idea of who they are. I have already eliminated some venues due to them being really rude or they never got back with me or were irritated that I had questions for them. Good luck and congratulations to everyone!!

My wedding is in September 2023 and we've started looking around and working some things out. We just started touring venues this last weekend and we have a photographer with a date saved but not officially hired. With lots of people having to postpone their weddings last year, there will probably be even more people trying to book in the next year or two, so I think getting ahead is definitely a good idea. It also gives us good time to save!

I know what you mean by that! We put our deposit down on our venue in December of 2020 to secure our date and then next thing we know...It's April!!! Luckily, I'm crazy and as of today I've booked my hair and makeup
