Planning Honeymoon

Travel agencies can definitely help make things easier to plan, but they can cost more so it’s a win-lose depending on budget, location, and so on. I highly recommend setting a honeymoon budget and then looking at locations you both are interested in. Do you want to go somewhere warm or cold? Beach or mountain? Touristy or off the map? Domestic or international? Then go from there and start looking at different places. Keep weather in mind as different parts of the world experience different seasons/weather patterns than you may now. Once you guys have a location in mind, start looking at accommodations and work within your budget. Don’t forget daily food costs when you start! So many people forget that it’s essentially eating out every meal unless they’re at an all inclusive location. Once you have a place to stay and food costs in mind, you can start looking into activities in the area- yours, museums, hikes, boating…

The easiest and cheapest way for us is by having a destination wedding. Right after you say " I DO" your honeymoon starts

We went to Iceland, since I wanted to avoid hot tropical weather. At first, we tried to contact a travel agent, but she never responded, so we decided to just plan it all ourselves. We used Expedia for flights, and TripAdvisor or Viator to book the actual tours we wanted to do. It's not hard to plan it yourself, I just made a Google Sheet with a box for each day and the things we would be doing (including the times, booking #, etc.)
