Planning on time

Is now to soon to be thinking of a guest list when the wedding is 2 years away? I’m currently looking for venues and photographers.

It helps to generally know the number of guests. so you may have a guest list sketched out. If you think this list is going to be stable, you can use that guest count for searching out venues. As to the venues, you certainly can look around for some potential ones. You probably will not be able to book one until 2025 though. Same with photographers -- except you might get engagement photos through one.

Now is a perfect time to consider your guest list range as this will help you determine your overall wedding budget. More guests equals bigger budget (per person catering, table centerpieces, rentals, decor, etc). Once you determine your rough budget, then you can look at venue spaces that fall within your budget. You don't want a place too small or too big. Two years saving for your wedding goes easier when you know your desired goal range. Good luck.

You’ll want to have a general idea so you can start thinking venues etc that will require a number. I wouldn’t get too specific now, since things will change over time — people will marry and divorce, some friendships will get closer and some distant. But knowing if you’re looking for 50-75, 125-50, or 300+ is important!
