Planning our wedding

You have to start with an idea of the budget you will have for a wedding. You may have to coordinate this with other people if they are helping pay for the wedding. The budget depends on where you want to have the wedding and what type of reception you will have.

Much of the decision also depends on how many people you plan to have. Then you select a venue for the ceremony and the reception to accommodate your guest list.

Here is the starting point which provides a checklist. (Many items in the checklist are optional, depending on the preliminary events you would like to have.)

You can also hire a wedding planner to take care of many of the details. But you still have to decide the venue -- where you want the wedding -- and various other choices. You can check out the vendor list on this website for venues for the ceremony and reception (or have these both at the same place).

Do you have some specific questions or a way of describing any further issues?

If you have a small group, a small chapel wedding in Vegas could be the simple option. It can be an intimate room for the ceremony if that fits your situation better. As far as the guest list, the invites usually would go out in the months before the wedding. If I come up with any ideas for increasing the guest list, I'll let you know.
