Hi there!
My wedding isn't until fall of 2024 but I feel like I'm already a good bit of the way through planning. I have a wedding dress appointment in 2 weeks and am checking out venues this week. My bridesmaids are all picked out and in a group chat together. I already have a catering company I'm pretty sure I'm hiring and am buying craft supplies to make decorations out of. I have already inquiries about djs, bakeries, photobooths, photographers, makeup artists, etc. I started wanted to know how much I should be saving up, but ended up putting all my free time into talking to vendors and actually genuinely planning everything. I know I have over 2 years and a lot can change in that time but... Please tell me I'm not crazy for starting so soon lol.

I don’t think so! I’m a 2024 Bride and I have a ton at least decided already. I like the idea of getting some big stuff out of the way then taking a break. In a year I’ll be full on.

We have already booked our venue, DJ, and are looking at photographers. I told myself I won’t start looking at dresses until 1 year out so I don’t change my mind.

You aren’t crazy at all. My wedding is in June 2024 and I’m in full swing planning! I hate waiting until last minute. I’m not doing my dress appointment until next year just in case I gain/lose weight. However, I feel it’s better to be over prepared and planned ahead versus stressed when it comes to our special day!

I started planning for my May 24 wedding in December 2021. I have my dress, my venue, photographer, catering, and I’m interviewing my doc. My only advise because it’s so far out make a very detailed mood board to keep a cohesive theme like on canva I have exact Inspo about florals, cakes, table decor ,etc it’ll help get the vibe you want vs buying a bunch of stuff that doesn’t really match. Some venders won’t let you hire them until you hit the two year mark

Not crazy at all! I’ve been planning my June 2024 wedding I bought my dress October 2021 and just picked it up. I have my party set and we know what dresses they are wearing. We have vendors in mind to but haven’t put a deposit on our venue yet. I’ve been buying things left and right for DIY stuff! Just save it in a plastic bin for when it gets near if your not wanting to work on it right away!

You should get started! With less than 12 months you want to make sure you're vendors are available. Many pandemic brides rescheduled to 2022/23 so many places are booking up already. ❤️

I also am getting married in 2024 and i have my date/venue/photographer/DJ all set. With Covid everything has been pushed backed so i was told to start early. A lot of venues are already booking up and booking for ****. The venue i wanted was all booked up for 2023 so we had to go with 2024. I was going to book another DJ, but they were already booked for my date so i had to go with another. So i believe you’re doing the right thing.

I guess it’s never too early to start planning, especially if it’s your wedding! Congratulations btw! I did my own wedding details as well back when I got married years ago. Now I’m planning my daughter’s Quincenera and I have over 2 years as well. Exciting right! Good luck to you and maybe we can share ideas!

So I am a 2024 Bride as well. My date is set for May 11th 2024. I have already picked out my dress that I want to buy. All my bridesmaid dresses, shoes are all picked out. I was so excited about the shoes we chose and already bought mine. Lol I already started buying the small little things like a guest book and our unity sand stuff. All of my gifts for my Bridesmaids are bought. We have our venue that we want and the DJ but have to wait until the beginning of next year to book everything we want. My father and my fiancee have decided to cook everything for our wedding to save a little money in that department. I am doing my own little centerpieces for the tables. I got super excited and just started Early because it seemed like there would be less to pay for once it got closer.
