While I have noticed that some vendors have an Instagram/Facebook only presence, not all do. Also we don't intend to buy anything just to resell later (linens, decor, etc) instead of renting and leaving the labor to the pros. Plus relatives/acquaintances we would prefer to not interact with. Is there anything that it is absolutely vital that a person planning would be missing if they didn't use Facebook? Or did you skip it altogether and still were able to find great deals and other inspiration easily?

I personally haven't even opened Marketplace since we don't need any of those things. Doing calculations, it's actually cheaper for us to rent from vendors than to buy from those places and try to sell afterwards with the time and labor at minimum wage that goes into it.

Oh I can imagine! I know a lot of people who have completely thrifted a lot of their wedding. A lot of brides sell their things on Facebook Marketplace, and others can snag it for cheap! It can definitely come out cheaper and more convenient to just rent, though!
