I am in the process of planning a royal wedding. I was wondering if any of you all have advice. I would appreciate any advice at all!

What exactly do you mean by a "royal wedding?" If you're going for a royal theme, I'd imagine that the best way to convey that would be with a true black tie experience for your guests.

What does a “royal” wedding entail? Are you just wanting to get your guests to dress up in fancy attire?

I am sorry for any inconvenience but it's a royal-themed wedding, I am not royalty!

I agree with Alejandra. If you want a royal-themed wedding, I would go with a classic black tie event.

I want it to look like it came out of a movie. I want gold, white, and black but no royal blue. I just want to feel like princess for a day.

I think that sounds lovely. That color scheme in a ballroom with a plated dinner, etc will definitely give you that royal wedding vibe.

    Okay, cool!

So if I heard someone was having a “royal” themed wedding, I would assume it was at least a black-tie event if not a white tie event. So if you want your guests to also dress to the theme— tuxes and long ballgowns/evening gowns, you’re going to have to host a true black-tie event.
That means multiple-course sit down meal ordered table side, top-shelf liquor open bar, live band, valet parking, white glove service, etc.
I’m not sure what your budget is, but I love a good black-tie event! Smiley smile my wedding budget in my city wouldn’t stretch for a proper black-tie event, but if you can swing it— dooooo it! Who doesn’t want to be Meghan Markle for a day?! 💕

My budget for the whole wedding is 100,000 dollars. I do a lot of DIY stuff and that saves money but my dress and decorations are gonna be the biggest part of this wedding.

Okay so we have similar budgets. My wedding came out to around $120k (not including gifts to each other - Taylor guitar and Chanel bag, my engagement ring, wedding rings, or our honeymoon).

Is the $100k including your honeymoon and rings? What’s most important to you? What exactly are you planning on DIYing?

Where are you located? Like city and state?

How many are you hoping to host for 100k in Miami? I got married in West Palm and had a pretty high end wedding (although I def wouldnt call it royal) so I prob could give you a good idea or costs.

I would say for a royal theme, venue is important. A castle perhaps? Or some sort of large estate, with a ballroom. Sounds fun!
