With your wedding over a year away that should help with preventing you from feeling too overwhelmed. I would recommend handling one task at a time. The most important thing to do is book a venue then focus on vendors. Once you have all your major vendors booked then you can handle the smaller tasks.

Thanks for the advice! I’ve got the venue, dress, undergarments, shoes, vail, unity candles, the ring barrier pillow, flower girl basket, guest book, so I’m off to a good start I guess so I’m not going to stress to much. Just need hair, makeup, nails, flowers, cake, champagne, food, DJ, already have an officiant so I still have work to do oh and guest list and not sure if I’m going to have a wedding party or not!

Many couples start with budget then guest list. The more guests the bigger the budget required to host well. Then they find a photographer. Each vendor requires a contract and deposit. I'd wait on hair & makeup since you don't know if they'll still be in business or may move by your date. Many bakers won't book you until 6 months before.

Thank you for the advice, I’m so excited and trying to not get overwhelmed cause I have like 15-16 months still to go. I just don’t want it to sneak up on me cause I know these months are going to go fast! I just want a smooth, getting thing in order, and hopefully have the day of my dreams!

The majority of people plan their weddings within a year’s time. You have plenty of time. I planned my wedding during grad school. I mostly did things during winter/summer breaks. As others said above, start with a budget and guest list. And then just do one thing at a time on your to-do list.
