I've heard that most men drag their feet on assisting their wife to be with wedding planning. However how can invitations go out if he doesn't give me a list? I don't get it. If he didn't want a ceremony we could be married already. When I met him, his relationship with his son was rocky. Now its worst. I know he's hurt because his son acts like he hates him. His son is not interested in going to his wedding. His son is 27. Can this type of baggage make my fiance not give names for reception? Its driving me up the walls.Can anyone relate? I'm ready to give up and say peace out! But I'm not one to give up. He is a great guy and all this stuff sort of exploded..

    It sounds like a heart to heart discussion is in order. Also try premarriage counseling. It will really open things up in the relationship so you guys can work together on how you want to move forward.

    Thanks we did virtual counseling but I think we need to do in person with some new people. Not sure if he wants to do it again or now. Thanks again.

    Is this just in regards to invitations? I had this same issue with my SO. I had to give him an ultimatum: "I need you to reach out and get so-and-so's address by this weekend, or they're not invited." He literally spent two years not making up his mind about inviting certain friends, so I gave him a deadline on that too.

    Did it work? I told him today we can't see each other or talk, text email or zoom until I have the names. I'm having a heart to heart with him tonight. Hopefully a solution.
