I planned my entire wedding alone for 55 people in only 10 weeks. It’s was very stressful but I was super organized and got it done. Just make lists and chop away at it. Good luck!

I planned my own too (with the help of my husband). The checklists on The Knot (and WW, but I liked the Knot better) were super helpful. I took it 1 task at a time, starting with major vendors (venue, photographer, dj), and then moved on to the next after I completed a task. The nice thing about the checklists from The Knot were that they adapted to my timeline. We planned a 115 person wedding in 16 months, but at least 6 of those months we didn't do anything because I was/am in grad school and have 0 time for anything during the semester.

Once you get the big things out of the way, it's smooth sailing. We also cut some of the extras like favors (people always leave them), signs (people know who's wedding they're at and venue staff helped direct people where they needed to go), and programs (our ceremony was a 10 minute non-religious ceremony so not much to follow along to). The checklists are helpful, but they also have things that aren't necessary and can be scrapped for a shorter to-do list.

I’ve planned my entire wedding alone (With some input from FH). I’m a planner and detail oriented so it wasn’t difficult for me to do. It is time consuming but I loved (almost) every minute of it.

Yes and I am learning as I go lol I'm nervous I'm going to forget something. Sometimes I think I should just hire a wedding planner but at the same time I don't really want to spend the money on one lol

That's why we have the forums!

We planned ours, and apparently it went so well, people told me I should be a wedding planner.

...I hated it. Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaated it. (So, here I am! ...What.) The only thing I liked about the whole process was finding my dress and that I got to marry DH.

I planned both my minimony and our big wedding! I’ve actually had a lot of fun planning and haven’t been stressed at all.

Our minimony of about 30-35 guests is next week and we didn’t start planning that until 5 weeks ago 🥴.
