Plastic plates, cups and utensils?

Anyone choosing to use plastic plates, cups and utensils? we are doing buffet style and using plastic but I cant decide on a good brand to use...been checking amazon, party city, sams and costco.

Which brand are you using?

    You should go to Sam Club and purchase the ones that look authentic, you have to be looking really god to notice they are not glass. That is what I did for my 30th birthday party 6 years ago. They are very nice.

    I am using heavy duty plastic plates and utensils for the cake. I ordered them from Amazon. I chose to use plastic because they would be cheaper than renting or buying real plates, our guest can take some cake home if the decide to eat it later and our guests can dispose of them easily since our part of our reception will be outdoors.

    I've been struggling with this too. Haven't come up with a good solution that LOOKS good but is also recyclable/ compostable. Sigh.
