Buffet style only because it'll add too much to our budget if we do it any other way.

Buffet; we were able to get an additional option that way.

Buffet all the way. We're not up for anything too formal.

Plated. Buffets are too casual for my taste and can be a total cluster. Besides, I've been to wedding with buffets and by the time I got my plate the food was cool. With plated dinners, there's better chance the food will be served at the appropriate temperature.

We’ll be having buffet, but not a meal, just lots of finger foods.

They both have their pros and cons. The only time I've had a plated meal was at a restaurant (close family only) lunch reception prior to the dance. The rest (where food beyond just cake) were buffets where people could choose what they wanted. I like the idea of plated but not sure how that would work logistically unless we go with a fancy catering service. With a buffet, people can pick what they want and leave what they don't to eliminate waste.

Buffet/stations. Guests are guaranteed to go home stuffed and offers more options.

Buffet all the way. Plated is too formal.
