Buffet that way if someone isnt a big eater they can eat less without being wasteful. Plus- lots of leftovers for us!

79 days and counting. So we are having going to have a buffet dinner, better for our budget. I want my guest to be able to move around as much as they can

Buffet. As someone who's worked for a caterer before, it's so much easier on them than a plated dinner, and it's faster to get everyone served. So it leaves us less time for dinner and more time for dancing. Plus, we don't want to go through the hassle of organizing everyone's protein choices, so they can just choose themselves when they get to the buffet line.

Probably buffet so guests can select what they know they'll eat.

I really have no preference. I wanted a buffet but plated was more cost effective. Both are good options.

NEITHER! We're doing family style so people don't have to pick between foods and can just try a little of everything. Our families are coming together and we want our tables to feel like family.

We're doing a brunch buffet (ceremony starts at 11:15am and reception starts at noon)! French toast, biscuits and gravy, made to order omelets, gourmet coffee bar, bloody mary/mimosa bar, the works..… time is dragging on so slow!!

Buffet style. 🙂 Everyone can pick and chose what their heart desires and feel more comfortable moving around to chat up people they’re happy to see if not at the same table

Buffet! That way everyone can get a little of whatever they want. We might even do halfway family style- salads, bread, and a few other small things on tables.

Our venue offers plated and buffet for the same price. Both meats and all sides are included in the price. I just feel like the plated dinners flow better and you don't have a line of 200 people trying to get a plate and it doesn't take up as much time during the reception. I have always wanted a plated meal and I was worried that I wouldn't want to spend the extra money due to the price difference at some places. I was so happy and shocked when our venue said there wasn't a price difference. You don't get to customize each plate, but I think that will be fine due to it being a pretty basic wedding dinner. They do offer a different children's plate though.

Plated dinner. I found it was easier to explain to guests the importance of RSVPing and not showing up with unexpected guests because of a plated dinner.

We're doing a mix of buffet and station style dinner. We both love food and appreciate good food, so we want our guests to have options and enjoy the food at our wedding.
