Buffet! I had both options the same price. In my wedding, there is too many people, plus everyone can choose what they want, so the best one for my wedding is buffet.

    Good ol' Southern Buffet!

I am looking forward to it. I hope it's a hit with the northern family members. I'm sure it will be, but everyone's a critic! :-P We'll also have a baked potato bar.

Ours will be plated but family style so food will keep coming if plates go empty, buffets are nice but have noticed many don't go for seconds so then you have a lot of extra food left over.

Buffet! I wanted lots of option for our wedding and since it was less than 50 guest I was able to do buffet. As entree alone we had pork, beef, chicken, shrimp and mahi. The beef and shrimp was cook in the grill in front of you.

Definitely buffet. I also feel like a buffet can be just as elegant as a plated. The catering company will be serving on the buffet line so people still get served.

Our venue only has plated dinners. This was one thing that my fiance really wanted - a family style or buffet dinner to ensure everyone had as much as they wanted. However, the portion sizes at our venue are LARGE and I doubt anyone will go hungry as a result. In addition we will have appetizers and late night snacks....so there should be plenty of food.

    Plated!!

We have been to too many weddings with buffets and they are usually a disaster of long lines and confusion with not much left to choose from once you finally make it to the front of the line.

We originally agreed on buffet because it was cheaper, but it's not "formal" enough for FH. So we are doing plated. I guess at least this means we won't have hardly any leftovers.
