Please criticize my face!

You look beautiful! I definitely understand not liking bright lipstick. I don’t myself and opted for a soft peach.


I’d suggest vocalizing your personal concerns to her - the caking/melting, looking pale, etc. Most artists want to hear feedback from you after the trial so that they are able to make a bride happy on her wedding day 😊
After my trial I had a few concerns and voiced them to my artist. One of them was that my updo kind of hurt my head as I spent the rest of the day in my trial look. I told the artist this and she was not offended at all - in fact she came up with a way to give me the same updo without using as many bobby pins and it felt WAY BETTER on my wedding day! 😄

Well thank you! I should note that I will def touch base with the makeup artist before the wedding -- but figured I'd get some expert opinions on what to request.

I don't think you look pale. Nice soft makeup. Eyes are not too heavy. Definitely should not be cakey.

I don't think you look pale at all in these photos but if you do definitely mention that to your MUA, maybe she can add a little drop of bronzer to your foundation, I love the CustomFX ones.

I actually love the hair flip and I think it looks absolutely killer on you! I do think you need a little more color on your cheeks since you're opting out for lips, which will help with the paleness. I do think it is a *little* cakey on your forehead/cheeks, like maybe she used too much powder. It isn't bad, but I think if you're paying a lot of money it should be dang near perfect. I don't think your face looks weirdly narrow, I think it's just the angle of the pictures that were taken! Overall the neutral eyes and lips look very natural and I love that! But definitely some more cheeks!

I feel like the eyes are perfect!!! I think that the face feels a little flat- if that makes sense? But I think a healthy dose of blush and some strategic bronzer would fix that. The lips could be a little more peachy s well just to help get towards more glow than washed out. But the eyes are killer

I agree with this. The face needs more color to brighten it all up. Also part of the color issues could be because of the lighting in the room where these were taken, how did it look to you in other lighting?

I personally love your hair and I think you need a little more color in your cheeks since you’re not going with a bright lip

I agree that a bit more blush and bronzer/ contour around your cheek bones would help add some color to your face. I also think going a little darker on the lip color would really compliment your skin tone, and it would add a bit more color to the look too. It looks like you could ROCK a berry color, but even just a darker shade of pink/ mauve would really pop!

I love your hair too! Mine would never hold curl in a style like that.

If caking is an issue, it may be good to check into airbrush makeup.

It does seem that more color on your cheeks would be helpful. More stylized hair on both sides of you face also could work better.

I love your eyes! They are not too heavy and but also not too light. I think they’re perfect. I would add some blush to help not make you look so pale and some contours around your cheek bones and forehead. This will also help you not look so pale. Maybe even some highlighter would help! You’re going to look fabulous
