please Help! Centerpieces- Mismatched- What to put together? Do you like any of these? Pic heavy

Jessica, on August 1, 2019 at 7:35 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 42
I AM LOSING MY MIND!!! Ive been working on these centerpieces at least every few days for months now. They've taken over my living room and have me ready to just elope (JK but kinda not).

Ill make this as short and simple as possible. I want mismatched centerpieces that still kinda go together so I need to come up with 3 to 5 set ups I like and then make sure Ive made everything for each "completed centerpiece". (Hopefully all that makes sense).

Any how the 1st pic is just 1 of each kind of item I have.

Most things I have several of and I can easily get more of everything if needed, EXCEPT the wheat (the wheat was $20 just for that little bit and I refuse to spend that much for more).

Pics 2 thru 4 are up close of items.

Pic labeled A was what I pictured in my head with some tables having wheat and others having dried grass or cotton in place of the wheat. Problem is when I lay it out I feel like the jars need something under them. It just looks like it is missing something to me.

The last 8 pics are just trials I was playing with.

MY QUESTION IS:
1. Do you like any of these as is and if so which ones? (Remember I need at least 3 different set ups)

2. Do you like any of these maybe in a different arrangement I didnt try?

3. Do you have any suggestions of something to put underneath or maybe around pic A?

Other info:
I have 100s of the wood slices ranging in size from a golf ball to maybe a dessert plate. None are big enough to hold all 3 items together.

I also have lots of cotton, doilies and dried grass.

The rose gold Mason jars with flowers, I was initially planning on doing half the tables with pink and the other half with ivory flowers.

Our wedding theme is somewhere between shabby chic and rustic. Colors are shades of pinks, greens and rose gold accents.

I plan on wrapping the non-lettered rose gold mason jars with a burlap and lace ribbon.

The wheat nor grass is permanently in those set ups. I have them held together with rubber bands for trial purposes.

Any help will be GREATLY appreciated and thanks in advance!

I like set-up B the best, I would try wrapping your beads around it like in C. I also love the doile set-up as well.

I like set up E the most, in my opinion! But all of them are so nice as well.

A G H are my top three. Also because they're all the same color scheme and basic shapes I don't think it matters exactly how many of each you do.

D is the best grouping. And, yes, the arrangements needed something underneath to “ground” them. So the doily works and fits the style.

The other 2 arrangements I’d do would be variations of “D”... basically swapping the pink flowers for the cotton. And then swapping the pink flowers for the white flowers. Those 3 different heights and different elements work.

    ”G” looks good too.

(For some reason, I don’t care for the dried grass).

Here is what I put under my centerpiece setup... they have many varieties and colors, and at the end of the day any placemat would suffice per your style choice. Here is a very loose mock up as I had just wanted to see if the votives would stand evenly on the mats.

D, F, and G are my favorites with D being my top choice. They look really nice and put together. Someone else mentioned swapping out the pink flowers for white and then for the cotton and I like that idea for D. Hope that helps!😊

Okay so deep breath! All of these arrangements are beautiful and great job on these! They look so wonderful!

    What I personally like: Arrangement B, D, and F.

See how this may look? Arrangement B putting the woods and white jar closer to the front like having them in a triangle. I also love the cotton in G and H but maybe doing the white little jar in front or on the side than the white flowers with the gold mason jar and maybe the wheat or bunches of sticks?

Picture A is really pretty just like that. If you are wanting to put something underneath I would suggest doing the wood pieces and even the Dollie could work really well.

It's up to you! You got this! They look awesome!

I like B the best, and D & G next. You can also add a small wooden piece under the candle holder, but still on top of the doily. Is it possible/have you tried mixing the white and pink flowers at all? Could be another way to mix it up without being too different.

I like A and I think I would like B if it was a cluster instead of in a line.

Have you looked at ebay for maybe small lace placemats? I feel like lace would go so well with all of those elements, including the wood pieces.

Don't over think it. I am DIYing a lot of elements, and I keep telling myself to just go with things instead of over analyzing every single thing.

    Good luck!

I love B and H the most, but G is also solid. I think the only suggestion would be to use 1-2 of the wood slices per table to complete the unification of the look but really it all looks like it goes together as it is.

Do you mean mixing white and pink on one jar? Or having one jar of pink and one of white? I tried using one jar of pink and one of white but it looked too "big" or too much I guess. I havent tried mixing white and pink flowers on one jar.
