Please tell me I'm not the first one to make this mistake

I ordered our wedding invites last night. I was super excited there was a sale code and free shipping. I saved over $220! I ordered our wedding invites last night. I was super excited there was a sale code and free shipping. I saved over $220! However I made a rookie mistake that I almost made with the save the dates but I caught myself that time. I ordered the amount of invites, envelopes, and information cards for the full guest list, instead of taking couples into consideration. That means I ordered 60 more than I needed. I tried to modify or cancel the order but it's already too late. I'm sick that I wasted that money on unneeded invites. Future hubby is saying it's not a big deal. Just so mad at myself!

    Its an easy mistake to make, I almost made it on both save the dates and invites for whatever reason it was confusing me how many we actually needed. Now you just have lots of keepsakes lol

    It’s always best to order extra anyways. I have always either messed up on the envelope or the invitation got messed up somehow. Better safer than sorry!

    That really is no big deal girl! You’ll have extras. The lady I ordered from said having extras are much better than not having enough!

    I did the same thing 😂😂😂 i ordered 125 invitations not thinking that most people coming are married or have families. At most i needed 60 maybe 65. I got a wonderful deal on mine at Anne's Bridal Bargains though so it wasn't an awful expensive mistake. Maybe I'll frame them and give them to family as Christmas gifts with pictures from the wedding.

    Can't be worse than my mistake, our save the dates which full purpose is to save the actual date turned out wrong. The photo says the 24th while the back with the details said the 4th 🤦🏼‍♀️ since thats my hubby's bday and also only missing the 2 I completely missed it even when they arrived! Found out because I had someone reach out to ask which was it lol

    Not alone! I was chatting with my mom about wanting a colored envelope over white, but worried about cost. She pointed out “how many could you really need? 60-70? It can’t be that much more money...” 💡😳🤯 I made the switch pretty easily with the printer, but still... I feel ya. At least you’ll have extras! I made a few addressing mistakes, it was nice to have a few around in case we need to resend due to mail issues, wrong address, etc.

    It's nice to know I'm not alone! I received them yesterday and I'm not upset about having the extras. Some on top look like they bopped around the box too much during transit. I'll be able to pick through to find the best!

    Oh no!! Did you decide to just ride it out with those, rather than order new ones? And you can still adjust before your actual invites right?

    Omg thanks for this post, I have yet to order save the dates or invites but in my head I know I needed about 150 not thinking family in the same household. So thanks for this. Hopefully everything worked out for you

    I'm so glad I could help someone else avoid the mistake!! I'm not too upset about it anymore, I figure it gives me some leeway with mess ups addressing envelopes and was just informed from my future father in law that he wants to invite 2 more guests so I have plenty of extra invites 😂
