Plunging Neckline and open back/small chest!

Khristina, on November 7, 2021 at 11:04 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 1 6
I've bought 3 dresses before finally landing on THE dress, a Martina Liana 1078. Here's a link to my dress https://www.essensedesigns.com/martina-liana/wedding-dresses/1078/ My problem is that after three kids and breastfeeding all 3 I have went from a full C to a barely there A. I'm worried my dress won't have enough structure with it being backless to hold it in place and all of my other 3 dresses are HUGE in the chest area. I'm planning to get it altered to make sure it fits as best as possible but I still worry I don't have the chest for a plunging neckline... and I would like to have a little bit of cleavage if ar all possible.... I LOVE this dress but I'm so afraid I don't have the chest to wear it. What options to I have to ensure I can wear my dream dress on my day?! Is it even possible or am I stuck with a high neck halter or something??

I had the opposite problem-I was afraid I was going to fall out of my dress. Your seamstress will do amazing work! The cups will hold you in, plus she can also add some padding on the sides. Gorgeous dress!

Plunging neck lines are the best with a small chest! (A cup here) your seamstress will work their magic. Gorgeous dress!!

I think you will be fine. Usually smaller breasts are easier to manage

Plunging necklines work best with smaller breasts. Have the seamstress add boning for structure and use pasties or boob tape (goodlines.com or boobhold.com) to pad the nipples.

I agree with the others - a smaller chest is MADE for a dress like that! It's going to look gorgeous on you, and I wouldn't worry about that at all. Trust your seamstress and make sure to tell them any concerns to make sure you feel secure once complete!

First of all this dress is gorgeous!! Like the others said, a smaller chest is best for a dress like this. If you want a bit more cleavage your seamstress can see in some cups to give you a little lift. Either way talk to your seamstress about what you’re looking for and I’m sure it will be beautiful!
