    Are you talking on an invitation you received to attend someone else's wedding? If the invitation doesn't say "Plus 1" then you were not given a plus one, meaning the bride will probably seat you with people that you already know so you won't be "alone" at the wedding.

    No, for someone r.s.v.p on the website. I want guests to have an option of plus 1 for say child, or g.f./b.f. etc

    A significant other or a child is not a plus one. For significant others you list both people by name, if you don’t know their name reach out to that person and ask. For children you can put the Smith Family and on the RSVP card put how many seats you are reserving for them. Plus ones are for truly single guests and you can address it Miss Jane Smith and Guest.

    Hi Marcy! Guests can not add plus ones on their own when RSVPing through the online WeddingWire system, but you can add plus ones in the guest list so they see the RSVP option!

    We recommend adding plus ones as individual guests using this formula:

    First Name = Guest

    Last Name = Last name of the guest they will attend with!

    So for example if you were giving "John Doe" a plus one, you should add that guest as "Guest Doe". This way when your guests are searching for themselves by last name they will see the option to bring a guest!

    How to indicate a 'plus one' on your guest list

    You have to add their name as a guest under their household. They cannot rsvp unless they are a guest on your guest list.

    You have to add each person to the guest list. If you are on your guest list manager and you added the “household,” there is a place to list each member in that household/family. This will allow them to RSVP for each individual person you list. If that made sense.

    That's frustrating. I'll just have them comment any extras..... and go from there

    I did what the admin suggested.
    Guest = first name
    And last name is same as guest. I have tested it on my website and it's super easy to understand when online rsvping

    We had some guest we were giving true “plus one’s” to so we didn’t know who their guests would be or their name. We included “guest” in their household so they could reply with a guest. Then you can follow up and ask for the guests name for your records and seating chart.

    It would give them the option. They select who says yes or no in the household. They can decline the option by marking the guest as a no

    Which website are you using? I'm using The Knot for mine. When I add the names of a couple or a household, it will group them together. If I dont know who the plus one will be, there was an option to add one unknown person but linked to the guest themselves. Then when the guests search for their name, if they were part of a couple ir a group then the entire list if names willvshow up with it. Ive had guests RSVP for themselves and decline their families from the individual guest searching for theie own name. Ivhope that this helps
