Plus 1..

We have given some guests the option to bring a guest with them, when invitations were sent out it had their name & guest.. since RSVP’s are coming back they are RSVPing for their plus one but not giving a name of who they are bringing.. how did you guys handle this? Contact every person with a plus one and ask for first & last name or also put guest on the seating chart??

Yes, we asked for every guest's name so that we could indicate it properly on the place card.

I would ask, but if you dont' know by the time of the wedding just put "Tom James & guest" on one place card. It's not a huge deal, imo.

It's best to put that person's name on the invitations to begin with, but definitely call and ask. A good host should know their guest's names!

If it's a true plus one for single guests, you write & guest because they can pick whoever they want.

I think its more personal to have the Plus One"s name, so if this happens to me I plan to contact my guest and ask their Plus Ones name
