Plus ones not adding

When I added my guest list, I placed a plus one with a lot of people (either single, or I don't know the name of their significant other). When I finished inputting the guest list, all the plus ones disappeared. Now when I try to put a plus one/guest with those people, it only lets me add one plus one for the entire guest list. So, when I do the first name, they'll have a plus one, but when I move onto the next name, the original person's plus one disappears. I need this to work so people know I'm not inviting their children to my wedding.
