Plus ones

Shayley, on April 25, 2021 at 7:44 PM Posted in Planning 0 5
Hi everyone,
We are allowing quite a few of our guests to have plus ones. I am stuck on how I should go about telling them they have a plus one in the invite. On our website where they RSVP it allows for them to pick the option for plus one, but should I write on the envelope with our invites their name and add “and guest” after? Thank you for any ideas!

Yes otherwise they wouldn't know that they are allowed to bring a plus one.

Yes or they wouldn’t know. If you’re including RSVP cards of any kind, you could also include “we’ve reserved 2 seats in your honor” so they know they can bring a guest”. That’s our plan but we aren’t doing RSVP online at all.

I would address the envelope to "--- and guest" and also clarify by saying "we have reserved __ seats in your honor" on the invitation or rsvp.

Bearing in mind that significant others are NOT plus ones and are automatically invited by name (you call/text/email to find out)

The only way to tell them is to list ‘and guest’ on the envelope and reply card or rsvpify.com option for them.
