Wow, well that wasn't supposed to send yet!

You will be beautiful no matter what. I would go and try on several different things ie baby doll, teddie, 2 piece something, and see what you like and what you feel comfortable in! Good luck!!!

If you feel uncomfortable, it will definitely show in your pictures. Usually any discomfort I ever feel about my body usually stems from a fear of everyone noticing my insecurities. Especially if I'm wearing something I'm not used to.

So wear whatever you feel the best in. Try your best to feel comfortable, even sexy, in the skin you're in.

Also, your photographer should already know how to help you pose and how to take the best shots. So have confidence in your photographer and have confidence in yourself!

I've done a boudoir shoot and they are so much fun! I would start by searching online or Pinterest for images with women you feel look similar to you. This can give you an idea of what they are wearing that you find attractive or unattractive. Your photographer will pose you so don't worry about that. It doesn't hurt to have some ideas of specific pictures you like and may want to mimic.

Also keep in mind they don't all have to be lingerie. I did a few in my fiance's favorite football team jersey. I actually bought the jersey for him as a gift as well. It was a black jersey so I wore it with black lacy panties and knee high black with red stripe socks. They aren't overly revealing but still sexy and he loves them.

A good photographer will make you feel so comfortable and beautiful. Just remember to relax and have fun. Your fiance already loves you and thinks your beautiful and sexy. This will just be a wonderful surprise.

Something else to consider is hair and makeup. If they provide it you're golden. If you have to do it yourself remember to think almost stage makeup. You want your eyes especially to be darker than you would normally wear it because the lighting and exposure will wash you out. And fake lashes are usually a very good idea.

Here's my jersey pic for an idea. It's totally covered so I have no problem posting online.

Also think about props. My fiance LOVES that I play the cello so I included that as well.

For Lingerie options I prefer Cacique from Lane Bryant- the girls are supported in a much better way than lingerie from VS. They have sales often too so you can find something you like. Your engagement pics look beautiful!

Find yourself something you feel beautiful in and a photographer that makes you feel comfortable being who you are. Smiley smile

i commend you for doing this, as well. so many women regardless of size have body love issues. i think your FH will love it and if you find the right photographer then you will really enjoy it! i can be really empowering.

i wanted to do one for my FH before the wedding.... but its just not in the budget, even outside of wedding planning. i'll probably do one as a first anniversary gift instead.

Lane Bryant has a wonderful lingerie line, and adoreme.com is amazing. i have some regular and more risque sets from them, and they're all amazing quality, super soft and fit well. i went off my regular bra/undies sizing and everything ive bought fit perfectly. their stuff is quality and there's a decent selection, especially with valentines day coming up! they have all kinds of sales and if you sign up for their VIP program, which is free, you can get your first "set," no matter what it is, for 20-30$. i would look into them, if you havent. I did one several years ago. You'll be terrified when you walk in and strut like a goddess when you walk out. If your photographer is worth his (or her) salt, he will help you ease into it. He suggested several outfits decreasing in coverage. He said that just like burlesque dancing, it's not always how much you show, but how you present it that makes the look "sexy." He started me off wearing the least revealing clothing to help me get comfortable with the process and flow. By the time we got ready to take a nude silhouette, I was completely comfortable. I've lost quite a bit of weight since then and I would really like to do this again!
