Plus size brides! Wedding dresses/jumpsuits?

You can try Azazie.com or JJ’s House and see what they have. When I was planning my wedding I was considered a plus size bride but I had order my dress from David’s Bridal. I’m not sure if you want to checkout David’s Bridal bc they are under bankruptcy status even though they are honoring all present orders.

I also wanted something unique and non-traditional. And since I feel most comfortable and confident in black, I decided to wear black dresses. I’d say just wear what makes you most confident!

What do you feel prettiest in with everyday wear and what stores do you normally shop at? Those can be a starting point. Azazie and Cocomelody have plus size dresses that you can try on at home. Also call around to local bridal shops in your area because you may find a gem there. If you call ahead, they can tell you what is in stock to try on. Some shops even specialize in plus sizes. Another option is to skip the bridal shop and wear a regular dressy outfit of your choice.


Be very careful with JJ’s House because it has mixed reviews, leaning towards negative. Also be aware that there are many scam sites online saying they sell dresses but they don’t deliver the product that was ordered. If something sounds too good to be true, it often is.

I normally like buying clothes from Old Navy, Torrid sometimes, JCPenney, stuff like that. I’d love to find a wedding day outfit that feels special yet unexpected, and definitely not stuffy or too formal!

I agree to look at Azazie because of the affordable prices and home try-on option! They probably have some of the biggest selections. My friend got hers from David's Bridal who are having a huge clearance right now.

Enzoani has a lot of good options, but it's kind of expensive.

Holy Clothing was right up my ally, between tops and dresses, it was just more my style. Returns are painless, just need to allow time for each item to be made, I stressed about getting each piece here on time, but it worked out well for me.

I recommend this style for a plus size bride. So beautiful and classy.
