I'm thinking of getting legally married and using my legal ceremony dress as my rehearsal dinner dress the following year - I have another post about that whole story.
Anyway, all that to say, I'm looking for something really cheap (read under $100 if possible, maybe $150) but still cute and with a good wedding vibe. I'm thinking short, because I'm 4'9" and I don't want to hem anything, so knee length is going to work better on me than tea length because tea length is going to be full length on me the way that capris are pants.
I like kind of the vintage vibe for a short dress - something with a poufy skirt! My wedding dress is an a-line ballgown, lace and organza with beads and pearls, so if I can hint at that idea in a shorter dress I will be happy. I like lace.
I've looked all the usual places - Amazon, Azazie, Eshakti, Poshmark, Modcloth and Milanoo - I love the Chi Chi London dresses but they're just too much going on. Are there lace little jackets you can get to put over a simpler dress? I keep finding these basic white dresses that I like the silhouette of but are just too plain for me. I'm pretty crafty and am up for DIY'ing a little. I like a good cap sleeve, too though not much longer than that. Illusion necklines too.
I wear a 2x/20 street size. It doesn't have to be a wedding dress, just a nice little white dress. Anywhere else I could look?
