Plus Size Tea Length

Sam, on December 1, 2023 at 10:31 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 11

Any suggestions where to go to get a plus sized tea length dress? I'm looking for something vintage and all the sites that have things that I want are all scammy.

A wedding dress? Most websites are scams except for specific name brands. A couple popular designers that specialize in tea length and available in all sizes are House of Mooshki and Dolly Couture.

Azazie LOVE their try at home feature! ALthough I did not end up buying from them, I had NO issues returning what I had tried on. All the dresses were beautiful, but just not THE one! Good luck and don't give up.

House of Mooshki is great to work with. It's custom made to fit your specific body. I got to zoom with the designer to discuss what I was envisioning. I got my dress through them.

Unique Vintage has some good ones. I ordered from them before for special occasions for almost a decade and I have been very happy with their fit and quality. Some people have complained that their quality has declined as they got bigger as a company, but I don't notice the difference personally and if this is for a wedding and I assume you only wear it for a day, worrying about wear and tear shouldn't be too big of a deal.

I don’t know why, but it looks like Pat and my’s responses were deleted. So I’ll repost.
The following have tea length options and aren’t scam sites:

    azazie.com
    jjshouse.com saksfifthavenue.com oliviabottega.com

I bought my 2nd dress from the discontinued section of a bridal dress store, then the seamstress turned this strapless dress into a tea length with short sleeves! A good seamstress is amazing.

Pirate Bride makes an excellent point - you can always have a full-length dress converted to tea length!

Thanks all. I was finally able to find what I wanted on eShakti but had to cancel of course, the company is dying. Found something on Azazie but I feel like I'm settling for it which makes me feel kinda awful ( I was married once before and settled on that dress, so it feels like bad luck). I guess I will just have to see it on once I get it. **Shrug

It's a good idea, but you're paying for all that material, it seems kind of silly if you're just gonna chop it off, and pay again to do so.

Azazie is where we ordered my daughters size 26 maid of honor dress. It fit nearly perfect right out of the box. We had her professionally fitted & ordered off the site using their size chart. Based on their chart, the top would be about 3/4" too big. When we took it in to be altered it was exactly 3/4" too big at the chest & was easily altered to fit her perfectly. It has a zipper back & security hook & eye at the top of the zipper & pleated top around the chest/waist so nothing shows that she felt uncomfortable with. It has wide straps so she can wear an every day style bra from Torrid. The material is very thick yet made with a chiffon overlay so it flows beautifully.
