Yes, I am so called Plus Sized I am a solid 14...the size of the average American woman which somehow means that I meet the criteria and hey that label is no insult to me. I enjoy rejecting society's standards of beauty (which may be why I wear a huge fro...afro that is *Smiley smile*) Besides, some of the sexiest most attractive women I know in real life and also celebs like Jill Scott, Chrisite Michelle, and my new personal fav plus sized celebs (courtesy of my new fav show...Huge) Hayley Hasselhoff, Nikki Blonsky and Ashley Holliday make the title look damn good!

Which leads me to the zed boudoir and why I am TOTALLY doing it! I love the idea. I think FH will love them and I would appreciate the opportunity to totally shock him. And no I won't do this once I reach the size ten that I have not seen since I was 15 but now...just as I am. The way he loves me. The way I have learned to love me. Anyone else with me? If so, here are some tips and tricks as well as poses...please add on!

I would say just be very verbal about what you want and what you don't want! This way the photog knows what poses to put you in and what angles to shoot at! Also pick outfits that make you feel comfy, I wore his work shirt and a tigers t-shirt, both I was very comfortable in I did do some bra and undie and then some topless wasn't the most comfortable but I know that he will love them so I just said why not. Big tip when shooting have her get on a chair or ladder and shoot downward it's a much better angle!! Hope that helps.

Here's a couple that I did of a friend in a 15 minute trial shoot. She wants me to go back and do a complete shoot for her shortly. Smiley smile She wears a 2x. She LOVED the few images we captured!

The downside to doing DIY is that most people don't have the gear that a professional photographer does. You aren't going to get the bokeh (blurred out background) from a point and shoot camera. Of course this allows us to work with one specific body area and blow the rest of the image out of focus, deemphasizing problem areas. Lighitng is key to all photography, boudoir is no exception to the rule. I like to shoot pretty soft when it comes to boudoir. Again, a point and shoot isn't going to produce a useable image here. You can turn off the flash, but the optics aren't fast enough to capture a lower light image, let alone without pixelating out because point and shoots don't have that great of low ISO performance.

She was excited and told me she wanted to do some too and was asking how much it costs lol... I informed her that its free since she is the photographer haha she replied that she's super excited. Oh man she has to hurry up and get her butt back here. lets just hope my dinky digital camera works fine! =/ eek! or I will have to find someone with some photoshop! haha.

Oh how I love this thread! Boudoir photography is intended for real women, and real women come in all shapes and sizes. A good boudoir photographer will know how to work with each woman as an individual and should guide you through poses that play up your unique assets. I always tell my girls they don't have to worry about trying to get into shape for these shoots, to just come in and celebrate themselves as they are right now! So empowering - not just for them, but for me too!

I live in Raleigh NC, I would love to have some of these done for my fiance' (And myself). Can anyone recommend a studio in my area, Also, where so you purchase plus-sides outfits for the shoots?
