Pocket Invitations - How did you seal them?

L&G, on January 22, 2015 at 5:37 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 17

What did you use for sealing a pocket-fold invite? Belly bands, stickers, wax seals, twine?

Right now I'm loving the look of twine and wax seal!

Be careful with twine and wax seals, if it gets too thick you will have to pay additional shipping.

I am planning to add a square with our wedding logo, then seal with the removable glue dots.

We're going to use lace and a bit of tiny thin ribbon, jute twine, and a button. Like in the picture...

A little off topic but where did you ladies purchase your pocket fold invitations. The one I want is from bweddinginvitations.com but they're about 650 for 70 invitations and I was hoping to spend less

@jessica I purchased all the pieces separately - pocket folds from cardsandpockets inserts and invite cards I designed and printed at vista print Smiley smile)

@Jessica - I'm making mine from cardstock. I'm pretty crafty and i have lots of printer ink, a cutting machine, a scoring board and a bunch of other supplies.

If you don't mind taking the time, there are a tonne of DIY pockefold tutorials online. There are also some websites that will sell the pocketfolds for very little separately, like Lauryn suggested.

We did a lace and ribbon band and let the ribbon overhang so we could tie them closed.

Https://www.cardsandpockets.com Were paying roughly $170 for 75. It includes all of the paper we need and it's actually really good quality. It's also really worth it to pay the $10 and buy a sample pack first.

@Jessica I am ordering mine from cards and pockets as well. I am also using their print shop. For 75 invites with 2 inserts & RSVP card all printed and the pockets and envelopes it will be about $250.

I think we're going to do a belly band with a square that has our monogram on it.

ETA: We bought 50 pocketfolds, 55 mailing envelopes and 55 RSVP envelopes (all metallic/shimmer) from cardsandpockets.com and spent a total of $76 with shipping.

Hi! I was thinking about doing this but was worried that the invitations and inserts from vistaprint wouldn't fit on the pocket fold from cardsandpockets. Did you run into this issue or was everything fine? Thanks! ~Brittany
