Poconos minimoon

Leemur, on October 13, 2017 at 8:37 PM Posted in Honeymoon 0 11

Hi all! First post on here. Any suggestions for a minimoon local near the Poconos? We're coming from Philly and love the mountains, and I'd rather do a resort or something where I don't have to do anything. I would prefer if they had a separate building or cabin option, if possible. Wedding in June, 2018.

Thanks!!

VRBO usually has awesome options for cabins and houses to rent. I rarely stay at hotels anymore bc the rentals are usually cheaper and have significantly better accommodations

Check out the Glasbern Inn in Fogelsville. The accomodations are in separate buildings that are all old barns that have been converted to different rooms/condos with a very rustic feel. They have a restaurant right on site, and there are a bunch of vineyards/brewries in the area. Found them on Groupon and had a very enjoyable weekend getaway there last year!

Cove Haven is the honeymoon central! I had a free night's stay there from my work and it's actually very lovely. There are 3 properties. We stayed at Paradise Stream (which is by Mount Airy Casino) it was about 50 minutes from my house. The room we stayed is was ROMANTIC (but bring your own pillows because they SUCK and are so flat it gave me a headache). It is all inclusive too, the food is, the drinks are separate though. But we stayed in the Champagne Tower Suite, which had a freaking

heart shaped pool, sauna, jacuzzi bath IN a two story champagne tub. It has twinkling lights above the bed and above the champagne tub with red lights. There are activities to do on the resort as they have entertainment every night! Activities include paddle boating, hiking, shuffleboard, games, fire pit, scavenger hunt, and other resort fun things. It reminded me of a cruise ship and a camp at the same time but the rooms are huge, and it's super romantic. HIGHLY recommend. Fun trip.

Sky top for sure! I'm from the poconos and they have one of the nicest resorts in the area and it isn't specifically geared towards kids. Kahalari is also nice but it will have a lot of kids due to the indoor water park. My airy is another option.

Kelsey, I got married at Skytop!

I second Skytop. Its a gorgeous property, the food is delicious, and there is so many activities. They also treat you like royalty while there. Its one of my favorite places in the world. Its bit on the expensive side, but worth every penny.
