Polaroid Camera's

Alondra, on July 11, 2011 at 12:20 AM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 10

Where does one get them and what other supplies are needed in order to work these vintage camera's? At first I was going to put disposable camera's on each table but I haven't seen any good feedback on that so far.. Please let me know!

Good luck finding actual Polaroids, they stopped making the film like 2 years ago. You can probably find some online. But Fuji has made a new version of the same type of thing. make sure you buy A LOT of film.

    Try amazon, ebay or poloroid.com

I'm looking for some as well for my guest book.

Sadly, stores dont carry them to often. We couldnt order it for the customers that still used them (i was a retail photo manager). Plus the film is expensive. You can buy photo editing software that makes a digital pic look like a polaroid (I have a friend who does it all the time)

I haven't used one- i just know my company sells them. i would assume they are about the same quality as the old ones.

I would say you want at least 3-4 packs a table if you are using them that way. or 2 pictures per person if you are using them for a guest book type thing.

Just looked it up- it's just under $1 per photo, not counting the camera. I'd look for a different idea.....

Its still totally workable if you want the final pic to LOOK like a Polaroid. But as far as doing it the old school way, it can get pricey

    Fujifilm prices ideas

I got the Fuji Instax Camera for my guestbook and it works great! I wanted a polaroid as well and found a camera but they don't make the film anymore and most of the film that is available on EBay etc is usually expired! The Fuji camera pictures are smaller than a traditional polaroid - a little bigger than a credit card, and it has lighting settings on it that a traditional polaroid does not. I bought mine off of Amazon. Hope this info helps!

Polaroid and Fuji make them, but they're not horribly cheap. At least not cheap enough to put one on each table. We were going to get one to do our own sort of FauxtoBooth (term stolen shamelessly from someone else on here), but we decided it was just one more thing to lug to our DW, and we'll have plenty of photos to paste into the book after the fact.
