Polaroid guest book?

Caitlin, on December 16, 2021 at 6:54 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 2 8
Are any of you doing the Polaroid pic guest book? Which camera should I buy? Not wanting to spend a lot because I’ll never use it again. And how are your guests putting them in the book? Tape? Glue stick?

I am also doing a photo guest book! We bought two Fujifilm cameras off of eBay (we tested them out when they arrived to make sure they worked as advertised), and bought a bunch of film. We're planning on doing double sided tape for everyone to secure their photos in our guest book. Definitely look around Amazon, eBay, Facebook marketplace, etc. for instant cameras and film! As always, read reviews first before buying.

I'm getting the Instax Mini! I print photos out for journaling and the printer I use has similar film to the Instax, so I can keep my using the Instax after the wedding?

The double sided tape is a good idea. I just feel like there’s always gona be a few dumb asses that tape it as if it were regular tape & then when you turn the page, the pages will get stuck together because of it. I guess I’m just a control freak, I’d rather place them in the book myself.

Good point about someone accidentally using it as regular tape! You could always put photo corners into the book ahead of time, and people can just slide their photos in. Then you wouldn't need to worry about tape. The only downside to this is that it can be time consuming, but it would give you complete control over the layout of the book.

Another option is having everyone hang their photos on a line, and you can organize them into a book later!

Along this same idea, I've also seen photos where people hang the escort cards on the string, and request that guests replace the escort card with their photo. Polaroid guest book? 3

I was thinking of doing this, but you will be required to buy a lot of film because some people are going to want to bring their own photos home. Therefore, if you want them to take a photo for your guest book they're going to want to take two so they can take one of them home. I actually did this a few times for a few past Christmas parties and everyone usually ends up taking their photos instead of hanging it on our tree lol.

We didn't do a guest book. Instead we just had people sign our canvas photo so we could hang it up in our home after the wedding (which we still have yet to do lol).

I was thinking about a Polaroid guest book too and my thought was to put those scrapbooking tape runners out to use to adhere them. A bit easier than double sided tape.
