Hi everyone! I was wanting a photobooth for the wedding but so far all the ones I have found are $600+ which seems crazy to me. I was thinking about buying a Fujifilm Instax Mini for $50 and then just buying the film in bulk (I found 100 pictures worth of film for $67 on Etsy). The goal is for guests to take a selfie with the camera, have the picture print, and then they can use double sided tape to stick it in our guest book and write a note next to it. Has anyone else done this? Thoughts/Suggestions?

YES to the photo booth! We are planning on having a DIY one as well. I honestly don't think a backdrop is necessary, just a fun addition.

I don't think a background is necessary... A wall or just the backdrop of your wedding should be fine! I also agree with PPs, make sure you buy extra film! Some guests might get carried away and take more photos than they should - esp if they don't like how the first photo comes out. The downfalls of living in a digital age where they can just delete photos they don't like on phones... not as easy (or inexpensive) when it comes to film!
I was going to do this idea as my guestbook initially but it started adding up to cost more than I had liked. If it was in the budget, I definitely would have kept with it! Good luck to you!
