Police Office Theme Table Names

Keri, on December 28, 2013 at 12:42 AM Posted in Community Conversations 0 11

Hi all - I am trying to incorporate a few minor details at the wedding of a police officer (Fiance is one obviously) but without making it all about Police. So I was thinking Table Names - but am falling short of ideas and names. Thoughts and ideas? Help!!

Dont know that much about the police but maybe use their titles, like cadet, sargent, etx. Or you can use different city police departments like NYPD, LAPD.

Hope that helps! Have fun planning!

Hmm what about table names such as

and have FBI be the "top table"

    Baton, pistol, cuffs, taser... Lol

Or badge numbers. I knew most of the guys on my FHs shift first by their badge numbers before I even knew their names.

    What Amanda said.

Does your fiance's department use 10 codes? That's an option too. Though not sure anyone else would understand what they are. I'll keep thinking haha.

I love the previous poster's suggestion of ten codes! I bet you FH could come up with some good ones but stay away the ugly ones like murder and rape; could put a damper on things! Lol

How many tables will you be having? You could name tables after famous precincts or famous prisons, the number acronyms (9-11, 10-4, 5-0), or the ranks of a police officer (student, officer, detective, etc.)

Famous "cops": Columbo, commissioner Gordon, the guy from naked gun-- that way even non-cops can "get" the table numbers.

I like Barbara's idea. Although I think using the table names to bring in the police theme is a good idea, somehow naming them after crimes or prisons or weapons just doesn't seem right. Using the names of famous policemen puts a more positive spin on the theme.

You could use different ranks-cadet, sergeant, lieutenant, chief, officer, etc.
