Hi ladies! I'm wondering you opinion on what how you are doing your dinner and/or you are choosing it over one way or the other. I am really torn on which style to do our dinner. Hi ladies! I'm wondering you opinion on what how you are doing your dinner and/or you are choosing it over one way or the other. I am really torn on which style to do our dinner. The prices are roughly the same, which kind of makes it harder to decide but I just want a little input on why you like weddings served a certain way or why you are choosing to have yours served that way!?!???!!!

I like buffets because everyone gets a choice.

I like family style because its a middle between the buffet and plated.

And of course plated is more elegant but I don't want a seating chart so we would have to do a combo plate and I know a lot of people (not necessary in our guests) but can't stand their food being touched (that wouldn't stop me from having a combo plate but just trying to keep my guests somewhat in mind...)

So what do you all think?

For yoru case I'd definately go with family style. It's better than waiting in a line like cattle for food, it's still elegant table service, but the person who likes more potatoes gets more potatoes and girl on the no carb diet can eat more salad.

I really wanted a plated meal, but I'm getting married in my teeny tiny hometown so resources are limited. As a result, we're having a buffet. It's all this particular caterer offers.

Buffet, we’re having a small barn wedding, nothing fancy. I prefer buffet over plated any day.
