I'm currently working on our registry, as we will be sending STDs next month that has our wedding website, which has a link to our registry. I'm trying to get it mostly done before I send STDs out so... I was wondering (if you don't mind sharing) what's the most expensive thing on your registry and what is the item?

The most expensive thing on my list right now is a down comforter from pottery barn $179. My next most expensive thing is a Ninja blender with individual cup add-ons for $150.

I'm trying to get an idea if I should put a few more expensive things for maybe close family members or if this is about the top range I should stay around.

Nothing wrong with having a few pricier items on there, as others have said.

We have a $200 air fryer/toaster oven combo (I REALLY want this), $300 knife set, and a $265 wine bar.

We also registered for All-Clad pots and pans, but we did it separately since we already have two in the set.

The most expensive thing on our registry is a Roomba at $375, which FH wants. Behind that is a Dyson Vacuum at $300. We have a few high ticket items, but we figure if someone (or a group) wants to get them for us, then yay! If not, then we'll use the discount to get them. We have TONS of lower price options, so there are definitely options for all price points.

My most expensive item was a $190 vacuum. Most of my items are in the $50-100 range. I was told I should add a few more expensive items, but I can't really think of anything. We need a few things like a cabinet in the bathroom, but that sort of thing we really need to shop around and purchase ourselves when we are ready.

Anybody else get a TON of presents that are not even remotely on your registry? We're thirty days out, with one shower left (in our region it's quite common to have 3-7 showers, crazy I know). We've gotten a ton of stuff, but very few presents on the actual registry. And, so many duplicates! Out of our registry items, like 15% we have to return because we've received multiple toasters and stuff.

I’m going to register for an ice cream maker that’s around $400, but mainly for the discount if it doesn’t get purchased. I know my family all go in together for wedding gifts (which is $200+ if they are all invited) so I want to give people that option. We are also registering at Menards, so I’m not sure what kind of goodies we will find there (we will start to redo our house after the wedding).

I cook once or twice a day 7 days a week 3 weeks a month, the 4th we eat out one day, and cooking is my hobby as well as a means of sustainability for my family. If I buy cheap pots and pans they end up in the garbage within a year because they just don’t hold up to the use. This is an item we mostly have on there for the discount as it is a must buy for our family. 😊

The most expensive thing we registered for was a pet hair eraser vacuum for $219. I was shocked when it was the first thing we actually received! It’s fantastic!

My 2 most expensive items were my stainless steel pot and pan set $399 and my kitchen-aid mixer $350. Both were purchased by my In-laws. Next was our flatware $199 but was not purchased yet.

Our top items are a KitchenAid mixer, a Le Creuset Dutch oven, a knife set, and a bedding set. They're all $200+ then everything else is $100 or less.

I have an All-Clad pots and pans set from W-S for $699. I'm honestly just planning on using my completion discount to buy them after the wedding.

Our priciest item was a Vitamix which was around $500 - and we got two!! My aunt also bought the Kitchenaid standing mixer off our registry for my bridal shower!

You can absolutely add a few expensive items to your registry. I love to go in with a few friends on giving a group gift of one of those high-priced items, especially for bridal shower gifts! Worst case scenario is that no one buys the item, and that's fine. Smiley shame

As long as you have items at a range of price points (with lots of options in the $50-$100 range) you're good to go!

It does not seem like it would be unreasonable to request a few high expense items in your wedding registry. I have actually been having this same conversation with my family because my partner and I have been living together for some time now, and we have a furnished home together. The only truly high end item I would have wanted is a Kitchenaid stand mixer, which he bought for mE when he proposed. Feel free to add whims to your registry even if you don't need those items, per se. This is an opportunity for your friends and family to shower you with the best of what your dreams give form!

We are going to be putting a Rumba on our registry that runs about $900 we will also put an upright vacuum that runs about $500. All other items will be $100 or less. Our pots and pans we are separating so each person could get just one pot etc.

A copper KitchenAid stand mixer. I know 100% no one will get it but it was too pretty to not put on there lol

My most expensive by far is a Kitchenaid Mixer for $379 - hopefully some group of fam/friends will chip in but if not I'll be buying it for myself...
