I'm currently working on our registry, as we will be sending STDs next month that has our wedding website, which has a link to our registry. I'm trying to get it mostly done before I send STDs out so... I was wondering (if you don't mind sharing) what's the most expensive thing on your registry and what is the item?

The most expensive thing on my list right now is a down comforter from pottery barn $179. My next most expensive thing is a Ninja blender with individual cup add-ons for $150.

I'm trying to get an idea if I should put a few more expensive things for maybe close family members or if this is about the top range I should stay around.

Wow! Thank you everyone for all of your responses! I will definitely be upgrading a few items that I already have on the registry (such as a knife set and pots and pans). Also, I'm definitely going to be adding the Kitchenaid mixer that everyone seems to have on their registry! I thought about adding it at first but thought it may be too expensive. Now I will definitely be adding it Smiley smile

I have 2 super expensive things my knife set $549 (one of my best friends and her mom bought it... the entire family with dates is invited) and an accent chair $532. I put them on not expecting them to be purchased but figured I'd get a discount at the end along with whatever money I get back from returns and purchase them. We don't have the time to go in-store and search for items we need/want so I did all of this online. I expect I'll have to return a few things and I'll end up receiving a gift card in return with that amount to use on things that haven't been purchased off the registry.

A great, cheaper option than Le Creuset (if you end up buying for yourself) is Lodge on Amazon. Amazing reviews, great colors, and a few friends of mine recently married all got the cast-iron pan and dutch oven.

All-Clad cooking set which is around $1200. Other high priced items are a sous vide system, vacuum, and we had a bedding set that was around $500 but was bought for us for an engagement gift.

Mine was the kitchen aid mixer ($375) which I got from a group of ladies. I also had mattress topper ($140), pots and pans set ($130 Ish) and the Ninja blender... I got the blender and pots and pans ... as long as you have enough of each price range you and your guests should be good.

The most expensive thing on our registry is a $380 Le Creuset Dutch Oven. We have a wide variety of price points on our registry but the majority fall in the $50-$100 price point.

Our most expensive gift was some pots and pans the cost was $279 I think. We didn't think anyone would get them for us but hey you never know. Yup, someone bought them and they were delivered last week 😲 The rest of our gifts are $150 or less.

We will be doing our registry soon and have already decided not to pay attention to pricing. We will choose what we truly want, what we will buy for ourselves if it isn't bought for us. That being said, I know we will have china and actual 100% silver silverware, as well as several other big ticket items. We will also have several fun and inexpensive items like a star wars rolling pin and a few choice boardgames. These are things we want, not necessarily things we want others to buy for us. We are fine buying them for ourselves, and are fairly certain they will provide several different price points without any effort to do so on our part.

Definitely add some pricier things in there- you should have a good range of gift options. Even if no one will shell out $400+ for something, maybe they'll go in with other family members or they could give you a gift card and you could note in your thank you you're putting it towards x, y, or z. People want to give you nice things you'll have for a lifetime, doesn't hurt to throw things on there!

We really want to upgrade to a king-sized bed so we put both the bed ($1500) and the mattress/box spring set ($3500) on our registry. We also put all the king-sized accessories on the list, like sheets, comforter, etc. Our thought is that we'll get some cash to put towards the bed, which will be discounted after we don't receive it. Smiley smile

I have a nice KitchenAid mixer for $350 and a Cuisenart food processor for $200~ I would not be afraid to add a few more expensive things like a vacuum, couch or kitchen table!

We put a bedroom set from West Elm on ours (the bed is $1,200, but they run a lot of sales throughout the year), with the thought being we have extended family members who are very high earners and are known to give large cash gifts at family weddings. You just never know! And as long as you have plenty of lower priced items for the majority of attendees, no one can fault you for trying! Smiley smile

The All Clad pots and pans set or the Kitchen Aid standing mixer. But since we're paying 50$ a plate for our guests we figured we shouldn't post anything on our registry for less than 50$

My most expensive item is a Kitchen Aid at $189. I made sure to have a wide range of things as far as cost. You never know what your guests are financially able to get you so it's nice to give them some options.

I think you should add a few more higher priced items - using group gifting option is great. For example, we were going to add two kayaks to our registry and a home improvement fund for $500 - both group gift options. We are thinking our family will likely be the ones contributing or purchasing us the larger gifts.
