The ideas other have given you are great.

We've done a balloon raffle, you put numbers in a balloon and the number corresponds to a prize so the person buys the balloon to pop it to see what they've won - who doesn't like to pop balloons.

Alcohol is also great you could pick a bottle and add mixers to go with it, or do a few different bottles. Another idea is to wrap bottles (wine, vodka, tequlia, ect) in brown paper bags and people pay to pick a bag and see what bottle they won.

My mother won a grill at her company's party. I've seen quilts, guns, even donated cars raffled off. I think nice things would be gift card to a resturant, gift card to the movies, maybe an iTunes gift card. Other things: gift card to a hair salon (to pay for a hair cut $15-20 around here), Walmart gift card are always useable (food, drinks, adult drinks, even the gas station at walmart).
