I originally wanted my hair in an updo (a low loose bun with flowers on the side) but my hubs really wanted my hair down. So I suprised him by having my hair in a partial updo, that way I still felt elegant and he still got to see the long curls. You can see it in my profile pic...

I'm hoping to do something like these two combined... the back of the first one and the front of the second... maybe?? I have my trial on the 21st so we shall see

I had my hair in a curly pony tail. I remember when I first started my planning I was dead set on a classic clean updo....but when I went to my hair trial, the stylist tried many updos on me but none of them made me feel like a bride. It wasn't until I scheduled a second hair trial that I found THE hair do that I loved, which ended up, not being an updo. Smiley smile SO...be adventurous!!

Hre's mine. It was SUPER windy, so it worked out great, and lasted all night.

I went with the carrie underwood do that Victoria posted. I didn't even think about my hair all night - it lasted and looked great til the end. The next morning I looked a little scary though.

Mine will most likely be a 1/2 and 1/2 type deal. My hair is really long and doesn't flatter me when it's all pulled up for formal events. So i'll probably have half down and half up to keep it out of my face.

Something kind of like these, but maybe a bit more of it up than this. I haven't done a trial yet, so I don't have a clue. The pics are from my friend's wedding, I was a BM. Ignore FH, he went through a mohawk stage. Haha

@ Victoria - I used your first picture for the idea of one of my prom hair-dos, but my hair was too heavy and didn't want to look "elegantly messy", only "ugly messy". It ended up like this:

Just remember to let your hairdresser know about your veil for whatever style you choose. I wore my veil only during ceremony and pictures. Then just the tiera for the rest of the evening! I even woke up with it on! lol There wasn't any time to redo my hair after taking the veil off, so we made it a style that would accommodate both.

I am doing a curled side pony tail. I have hair to my waist that does not take a curl. It would wind up in a pony tail anyway. This way, I don't have to worry about it all night.

    VIctoria

I went with the 1st picture you posted when I attended a friend's wedding

My hair is so long and thick I can't pull off a full updo, so I went with a half up half down . This is my actual hair, no extensions and this picture was taken 18 months ago, my hair is about 6 inches longer now. Probably going to go with the same thing for my wedding

Miss Kay the bottom picture you posted - (the step by step directions) is how I want my hair, but my hair is far too short for that! Smiley sad I loooooooooooove it though!

Here's mine. I wore it half up/down for the ceremony and then had it pinned up for the reception. There aren't any really good pictures of my hair but here's what I could find.
