Is bad grammar high on your list of deal breakers? Or is it just a red flag you can deal with, even if it drives you a little crazy! 😉

Not at all. One of my friends was valedictorian but he was a terrible speller. He was a genius at math and science but everything else didn't come as naturally to him.

I'd say red flag I've learned to deal with. I'm all about the proper grammar life, but FH sees grammar as a suggestion Smiley laugh

A little bit of a red flag, but bad grammar doesn't mean they aren't smart. Especially once you aren't in school anymore, I feel it isn't a large part of a lot of everyone's daily life, unless you do a lot of writing or work in education. Something that can be fixed or worked on.

Red flag. It bothers me so much but I wouldn’t end a relationship over it.

Red flag. Poor grammar is very annoying and I really don’t stand it. But I would just try to work on that with my significant other.

Depends. If they purposely write/type Lyke D1s or whatever, then yes. Otherwise not at all.

Not a deal breaker. FH struggles with writing but he’s extremely intelligent. I’ve never seen a person sold math equations for fun until I met him. He’s very gifted in math and science, especially quantum physics. We each have different strengths!

I'm dyslexic. Spelling and grammar are not my strong suits. My fiance has a brain injury that also effects his ability to read and write. It'd be pretty hypocritical to hold that against one another. Also someone might not speak English as a first language, or not gone to a good school when they were young. I think holding grammar and spelling against people is petty.

Red Flag, it doesn't have to be perfect but we are both educated adults and I would rather he speak properly (instead of using slang, etc.). Which he does, so yay!

Deal breaker. I couldn’t tolerate poorly written dating profiles. I’m glad my husband can help me proof manuscripts 🥰

Not a big deal. My FH messes up some words sometimes, but it's actually endearing

Red flag. It would annoy me, but not to the point of ending the relationship.

Dealbreaker! He doesn’t need to be a genius by any means. But I’ve had relationships where guys “txted lik dis” or would use random words thinking they meant other words (said “granite” when he meant “granted”) and it would get on my nerves! Enough to the point that it effected how I felt about them. Of course, maybe those relationships just weren’t right for me anyway! But I think those things made a big difference for me.

I have horrible grammar so not a deal breaker for me. It is annoying when someone constantly points it out to me especially in front of other people.
