popcorn bar supplies

Amanda, on August 10, 2014 at 11:57 AM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 9

We are planning on doing a DIY popcorn bar as our wedding favors, any ideas in where to get favor bags and containers? I've seen plenty on Oriental Trading but to me they look more like for a birthday party and not a wedding. Any thoughts =)

We're doing popcorn also. This etsy shop has some classier looking bags. Note--there are lots of different sizes, so make sure you check carefully to get the size you want. https://www.etsy.com/shop/iCandyProducts We asked our caterer if they had large apothecary jars that we could use, and they are supplying them at no extra charge--candy buffets are so popular right now that lots of vendors have them on hand.

I am using what I call "apple baskets" for the popcorn (see pic) I bought candy bags in our color off an etsy site. Found metals scoops in the gardening section (just happened to walk past them one day) Also built little ramps (see the pic) so they are on more of an angle. Pretty much the pic has been my inspiration and i think i have nailed it! Just added burlap bows to the front of the baskets.

I like Janet's idea! Just get some plain white paper bags and stamp them with your wedding colors to make them fun!

Thanks Future Mrs.. the "apple baskets" are the style of baskets I was looking for to hold the popcorn on the table but could not think of the names of them!

I've seen a few favor bags on Etsy.. Thanks ladies for all of your input =)

I ordered my bags from papermart.com. They have all sorts of different sizes. I'm just adding a personalized tag to them and tying a pretty ribbon around them.

The wondrous powers of ebay. It has everything. And super cheap because it can ship from China.
