Pork Chops..HELP!

LuvBeingMarried2Him!, on June 11, 2016 at 9:08 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 80

Ladies... Does anyone know how to make a gosh golly juicy pork chop? I need to start dinner in 1 hour and I have two pork chops staring me in the face. I can never make a juicy pork chop! They always come out tough and dry. Any chefs with tips on here?

Bread them and put them in the oven for about 20minutes depending how thick they are

I marinate them in a soy sauce and oil mixture for an hour or more and put them on a skillet. Simple and yummy.

Look up Pinterest though, they have amazing recipes

I use a bunch of different types of pre made marinades. My favorite from childhood is still Shake and Bake.

eta: You could also get one of those meat thermometers that beeps when it reaches a preset temp. That will prevent you from drying them out.

I always sear (sp?) them in a pan on med-high with oil and seasonings before throwing them in the oven. Then cook them in the oven at 350, bone in? 30 min at 350, no bone? 20 min. Pull them out and let them sit for 5 to let the juices redistribute.

If I'm not making a marinade ahead of time, I sprinkle pork chops with salt and pepper, and top each chop with a pad of butter. Bake for 30 minutes, or until it's not pink when you cut it open. Don't be stingy with the butter and it wont be dry at all.

It's all about the temp. Get a meat thermometer and check it however you cook it until it's the proper temp.

I usually coat mine in an egg wash and then bread crumbs and cook them in a skillet. Yummmm.

I usually cut up green apples and onions and then caramelize them. Then, I remove them from the pan and place butter into the pan that my apples and onions were in and a little apple juice. I then put my pork chops in the pan and cook them. When they are close to being done, I add my onions/apples back in and cook until the pork chops are done. They are delicious!

I love to sear mine and get a good gold and brown color on them and then simmer them in brown gravy until they are cooked through. Served with mashed potatoes...yum!!

I came to this kind of late. Blue berry jam works wonders on pork chops ... next time maybe?

I bread and fry them or make stuffed pork chops. It all depends on how thick the pork chops are.
