Pork Chops..HELP!

LuvBeingMarried2Him!, on June 11, 2016 at 9:08 PM

Ladies... Does anyone know how to make a gosh golly juicy pork chop? I need to start dinner in 1 hour and I have two pork chops staring me in the face. I can never make a juicy pork chop! They always come out tough and dry. Any chefs with tips on here?

If you have a few extra minutes you can make your bread crumbs.. crush saltine crackers in a food processor or a zip lock bag and a rolling pin add pepper garlic powder thyme and rosemary bread your chops in that and bake them

I always marinate mine in a mixture of soy sauce, salt, peper, garlic (fresh minced works the best but you can use powdered), fresh ginger root, honey, and olive oil. Then I bake them with plenty of butter.

Late reply but I buy K.C. Masterpiece Classic Steakhouse marinade and marinade them all day, then bake them at 375 for like 25 minutes. Or I also use the pork Shake and Bake and top it with gravy.... Smiley laugh

Thank you so much ladies! Pork chops have always been a thorn in my side because I never made a good one UNTIL last night! Thank you for all the wonderful suggestions. My fiancé loved them and asked for me to make it more. I also covered them with aluminum foil to keep them moist. It worked!

I use my favorite rub & sear the in a black iron skillet. Then I cover them with chicken stock not broth. Cover & simmer until stick is almost gone. Always mouth watering tender. Edited for spelling *stock not stick* lol so sorry!

@can'tw8 I make a lot of my food from scratch just because I don't like taste if processed food I taught myself how to cook and watch a lot of the food network haha. My poor FH and kids has nothing but processed food until I came along. When you are out of a job like me you have nothing but time to cook

Cover in salt pepper and flour. Put in a hot skillet with oil. Fry until done.

I put oil, salt and pepper on the outside of the pork chops. I cook them on the stove for three minutes each, on both sides. After that I put them in the oven at 400 degrees for twenty minutes, flipping them after ten minutes.

Cooking lessons would be well served here. Porkchops are a fundamental and if you are already struggling with cooking concepts and techniques to avoid dried out meat getting some help would be beneficial.

Just trying to prevent this from becoming a nightly "Help! How do I make a gosh golly juicy XXXX"

Fry it then bake it for a few minutes in a casserole dish with a tiny bit of water COVERED

Or drown them in bbq sauce and fill the bottom of the casserole dish with sauce and COVER it and cook them

Chicken stock. Might've been a typo on my part. Sorry for that. But it's found in the grocery aisle by the soup. I cook it in the iron skillet on the stove. Just cover with a lid & simmer after searing. But sure you put enough stock to cover the pork chops. U also do this with chicken breasts but I slice an onion & caramelize it then cook the chicken the same way.

Lol you're tattling now? Hoooooly cow.

Look, you get what you give in this community. I have no issue with the pork chop thread but you do need to understand that over posting wears people out and forces people who are asking legit questions to be ignored.

That being said, you aren't going to accomplish much by being passive aggressive and tattling. Learn how to handle conflict, it will serve you much better than "learning how to be a wife" by cooking in your marriage.
