Porta Potty?

Samantha, on April 11, 2017 at 1:57 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 20

I'm of course having an outdoor wedding and I need some suggestions on which company and styles to look for. Any information helps! Please and thank you a million times.

I don't know about porta potties, but maybe check into those bathroom trailers. A lot more pleasant for everyone Smiley smile

Check the vendors tab for your local portable bathroom rental companies. (Maybe this is on the vendors tab?) Definitely rent the larger trailers. If this type of bathroom were at a wedding, I'd leave if I had to go potty:

Definitely the nice trailers with hardwood floors and multiple stalls.

I'm doing the same thing and the trailers are a little more then I was hoping to spend but I'm making it work anyway. No way I'm having my guests use porta potties , even if they are "deluxe"

Our reception is at a home, so we're getting a basic portapotty but also allowing guests to use the restroom inside.

Many companies have "wedding" porta potties with flush- sink- mirror- etc- this is what we got for our outdoor party- just do a search in your area- the people I spoke to were helpful in describing the different options.

Definitely go for the trailers with actual stalls and running water. I've seen them with the vendors search tool on here, but I can't remember if it was under the rentals or the other section.

If you can, I would rent one of those bathroom trailers. Even though the inside is the same as the "executive" portapotty, the outside looks much better. But as long as you have flushing, hand washing, lights, soap, etc., I think you'll be ok.

I went to a wedding with the bathroom trailer others are describing, and it was perfectly adequate. If I had to use a normal porta potty, I would be very very displeased.

You definitely want to get a nice one. Not just a regular port a potty. They can be a little pricey.

Agreed with the above. You don't want people in dresses and heals in a porta potty. Use the nice trailers!

We are renting a trailer potty that has both a men's and women's room with running water and AC. It's pretty expensive because my area does not have much competetion, but I think it will be much nicer than a standard old plastic porta-potty on a hot day. Smiley smile

My outdoor venue provides trailer bathrooms. I would highly these and are completely worth the upgrade from porta potties.

Just out of curiosity, how much do one of those trailers costs to rent? In the beginning FH and I priced out having a reception on my parents land, but it was going to be outrageous for what we wanted

Go fancy, it's worth the cost. Get the highest end you can afford and your guests will thank you! No stinky, cramped regular potties will appeal to your lovely dressed guests

I tried googling at the time and couldn't even get a ballpark figure. The ones I looked at you had to ask for a quote

In the Louisville area I was quoted from $1700 to $2300 but the last one was based on the large distance to travel. They charge by the mile and usually include set up and attendant fee

I asked about this on here and was told that people would far prefer a real toilet. I had asked because we only have 2 downstairs bathrooms and were going to keep people out of the upstairs. Anyway, decided to stop literally shitting money away and clean the upstairs and use 4 bathrooms instead.

I work in a chemical terminal and use one at a last resort basis. I would never ever ever use one in a dress. I'm gagging just thinking about this.
