Portable bathrooms

So I'm having my wedding in my parents backyard and they don't want everyone going in their house to use the bathroom, which i don't blame them. But i think having a port-a-potty is gross and I would hate to have to force my guests to use it, but all of the bathroom trailers I have seen are like 500...

ETA: Photos of what port-a-potties look like now, if you don't get the lowest level.

If you don't mind me asking how much did you pay for one?

@m the way she described the options it sounded to me like the ports-a-potties she was talking about were basic construction site type, just clean. It sounded like the basic option was cheap or a upgraded nice port-a-potty trailer but that was more money. If there is an in between option that isn't a full trailer, but nice like yours, that would be okay in my opinion. Yours are what I expect from the upgraded "trailer" port-a-potty and most people agreed those were fine.

If you can't afford proper toilet facilities for your guests, you can't afford to have the wedding on that date. Seriously. Push your wedding date back a couple of months so people can have a decent place to take a piss.

I found some "wedding deluxe" port-a-potties online for about 170$ that have sinks built in and flush

I don't know how you'll feel about this one: But how about hiring a bathroom attendant for your mom's house? It could be a high school girl, she can monitor who's in & out i.e "hi sir, it's currently occupied, there is another upstairs, please go up and to the right". She can also refill soap and toilet paper, ect.

I know it's a little weird, but you MUST provide a decent bathroom for your guests! Imagine an elderly person in one of those port-a-potties Smiley sad

Edited: Sorry, I didn't see the septic tank thing.....

Move your wedding to a local park with decent facilities and try to make the restrooms there as comfortable as possible (a basket of nice paper hand towels). Your parents house just doesn't sound equipment for this event.

PS How many guests are you having?

    Good luck, dear!

@m - I think that the ones we are all appalled by are the construction type or at least that was what I was

    For crap's sake (pun intended)

    you got great feedback here.

    1. everyone hates construction portopotties

    2. you need to rent the nicer trailers, no matter what they cost

    3. save money elsewhere. (OH OH OH! Centerpieces made out of TP!!!!)

So what's all the conversation about?

Emmy, even the construction style ones are 1. not blue, 2. impeccably clean(cleaner than most of y'alls bathrooms, I guarantee that) and flush & have hand washing sinks.

@M not all port-a-potties flush. I say this having rented port-a-potties for work events. The cheap ones (construction-style) do not flush. The toilet seat is over a large hole that is filled with chemicals and shit. I find these disgusting even when they are clean. There are many models of port-a-potties with a range of how nice they are.

I used to row competitively and for those of you familiar with seeing porta pottys at a regatta you'll know that can be quite the ordeal. Then there was this one we went to where they were clean and constantly well stocked. Which company was it, you ask? A Royal Flush.

I've had a great experience with them since and they live up to the "Royal" name in terms of servicing busy and high end events. Here's their wedding wire account.

They also, for you, have these fancy restroom trailers and are very competitive on pricing.

A clean bathroom experience is a must, particularly for a wedding were you need perfection and don't want to have yet another thing to worry about.
