Possibly TMI: Period on Wedding Night?

Ashley, on November 2, 2016 at 3:00 PM Posted in Fitness and Health 0 14

So my period is all over the place because I have endometriosis. Last month it started around the 7th. About a week or two before I can totally tell it's coming. So far this month I have zero signs of it happening soon!! My wedding is the 19th. How many of you had you period during your wedding and how terrible was it???

It was just like having my period normally..... Didn't really affect me. Due to stress, I had my period for 3 weeks by the time my wedding rolled around. It finally ended completely about 3 days into the HM.

I'm more worried about having to change a tampon in a ball gown lol and at 26 I still get giant pimples on my chin during.

You can get birth control and start taking the active pills now, it will ensure you don't get your period. If your worried about it!

Use birth control pills to control when to have it and when not to. I have a similar issue. Doctor told me to use them and month of wedding dnt use the white ones just move on to new pack and i will not have a cycle

If she's not on the pill and hasn't been odds are she's going to spot through it anyway.

I wouldn't start taking the pill this close to your wedding if you aren't used to taking it.

Wear a pad. I'd hate if a tampon leaked through or if I forgot to change it. I'd much rather wear a pad and feel more secure than worry. I don't really feel them though so it wouldn't be like some women where they feel like they're wearing a diaper.

If I were to get mine on our wedding, I would just wear a softcup. You can wear them up to 12 hours, and don't have to take it out to pee.

    I'm 100% good with that.

Otherwise, it's just another day. Sex is still going to happen all over the damn place.

ETA: @Sass: I couldn't do a pad. I literally get the adult version of diaper rash from pads. Omg. It's awful.

I have endometriosis too so I feel ya. I'm hoping it won't happen the day of but I'm mentally preparing myself - mine is so bad the cramps put me into a fetal position so my doctor is giving me prescription pain killers just in case. I also vote pads instead of tampons. Although I have the UO of preferring them in general - I'm usually in too much pain during that time lol.

Yea I have had my tubes tied for 2 years now so I haven't been using any type of birth control at all.

Because of the endometriosis my periods are really heavy and painful!

I could just wear a super tampon, a pad, and a depends lol

I'm going to just hope and pray I have it next week, or not at all this month lol

I'm not worried about not having sex, that's not an option lol

I would normally recommend a Diva Cup, but it takes about two to three cycles to get the learning curve. If your periods are heavy, I would highly recommend one though.

Ugh I'm with you, I would be less worried about the "mess" and more worried about my face. If you do get any last-minute pimples, go see a dermatologist for some skin 911!
