I don't know about you long haired ladies, but I'm SO ready to get rid of my hair. I don't know about you long haired ladies, but I'm SO ready to get rid of my hair. I've been growing it out for over a year to get it to the length I want for the wedding, but as soon as we tie the knot, it's coming OFF. My dog pulls it out, FH pulls it out, I get it caught in everything (car door, hangers, my ring) and my poor shower drain can't take much more of it. I've already got my new style picked out: the long bob a-la Jessica Alba. I love it because it can keep some of the length in the front, while it being short and manageable in the back.

Are any of you ladies making a drastic change after the wedding? Do you have a style picked out?

First pic: My hair now (it's actually a little longer)

Second pic: New style

Alison: That's funny. I actually have all of the control of FH's hair. I refuse to let him grow it out, so I buzz it every few weeks. I love short hair on guys lol

I am completely jealous of whoever is able to post pics. I have tried from my phone and my work computer. Maybe my laptop will have mercy on me when I get home tonight. Then I will raise this post from the dead again! lol

I'm still over a year out and I can't wait to cut my hair! I love the looks of it when it's long but it can be so annoying! My biggest thing is that it gets stuck in my armpits. I can't go too short, because I think my face looks chubby with short hair, but I'll definitely be cutting several inches off of it! Here's my hair now and one of my inspiration pics.

@Sarah I am doing balayage after the honeymoon for winter, and then in the spring I am chopping it off like everyoneis sayingSmiley smile It is so funny how you want long hair when you have short hair and then when you grow it you are like I NEED SHORT HAIR. I wanted to balayage for the wedding and then chop ON our honeymoon (FH would have loved that sudden change) but FH wanted natural hair for wedding which I get....

I just did the post wedding chop. My hair was down to about 4 inches below my bra strap in back and I got 6" cut off. So now it sits about 2 inches above my bra strap. It feels so much better and healthier. I just couldn't stand it anymore!

I couldn't wait! My hair had massive split ends and I went and got it cut on Saturday. My hair was the longest it had been since I was a freshman in college and I've had insanely short hair before.

First pic is from my final fitting. I couldn't stand how long it was!

Second is after my chop on Saturday.

Third is a major throwback from when I had really short hair! I'm so tempted to do it again.

I did the opposite. My hair used to be like the first pic you posted and when I got engaged I did a huge chop into a long angled bob. My hair is always long so I thought oh I would let people see it short for awhile and by the time the wedding comes my hair will be long again and it won't look like how I always have it. My hair grows really fast.

I'll definitely be cutting my hair short after the wedding. I tend to go back and forth between long and short hair. I have cut 10+ inches off more than once and donated it. That is what I plan to do again after the wedding. However I won't be donating to locks of love, instead I will be donating to beautiful lengths.

It's not me that wants mine cut but FH says he is letting his grow (he is slick bald right now) and letting his beard grow after we get back from the honeymoon. Fine by me, he looks yummy with his beard.

FutureMrsMatthews - your future hair style is what I have now and I love it!!

I couldn't take it anymore LAST October. Mine kept getting caught in my sunroof. So I took 13" off and figured that it would get styled somehow. It worked out well.

Now I have alopecia from a med I'm on for migraines, so I'm weaning myself off the drug and hoping my hair comes back (it's not gone, just thinned out by more than 50%). I couldn't wear it long if I wanted to.

I am dying to cut my hair into a long a-line bob, but my FH thinks it's the ugliest hair cut ever Smiley sad lmao Plus I shaved my head a little over 3 years ago and it's finally long like I wanted it, but it's annoying.

You girls who can grow hair SUCK!!! LOL That's a great problem to have... I've been growing my hair out since 2006 and it's shoulder length. Longest my hair has ever been was about bra strap length when I was 17, and it literally took my entire life to get that long. I would love to be able to grow long, pretty hair!

I chopped my hair a few years ago, from my waist to my shoulders (not because I wanted it, I had a student cut it, I cried in the bathroom for a solid 15 mins) I enjoyed the short for a little but now I'm trying to grow it back to my waist. No cuts for me!

I'm dying to cut mine, I'd like to try a long bob. I wanted to grow it out long enough to donate it, and I still have about two inches to go.

For all the ladies planning to cut their hair, Pantene Beautiful Lengths is a great place to donate your hair for women who have had cancer and lost theirs. I actually got inspired to grow mine out and donate it due to a random stranger in an airport, who was obviously a cancer patient and didn't have hair. The hair you donate needs to be 8 inches long (or more)- definitely consider it if you're doing the post-wedding chop and have at least 8 inches to cut off!

If fb wasn't being stupid, I could post pics, but yeah. I chopped about 71/2 inches off my hair after the wedding.
