Post wedding shower

Annashiz, on December 23, 2019 at 5:17 PM Posted in Parties and Events 0 5
I missed my Best Friends wedding as it was in another city. I had plans for going to her wedding and we both planned a lot like bridal shower theme etc and many more plans but due to my exams on the same dates I couldn’t make it up. Now she’s not really happy about it, I mean she’s angry. She’s coming to my city soon and I’m planning to throw a post wedding shower or something of that sort, should i go for it ? If yes, need some unique ideas for that.
Thanks

A shower wouldn't be appropriate after the wedding. You can still give her a wedding gift and take her and her new spouse out to dinner.

Agreed- it's unfortunate that you needed to miss her wedding but a very nice gift and a dinner out is a great way to catch up and celebrate in your own way.

I would suggest a post wedding brunch. Something at your house if you want and just keep it to no gifts but some close friends in attendance. You can get her a gift and give it to her in private or you and her just go out for brunch and maybe a spa treatment or mani/pedi.

I agree - I think I’d be touched but weirded out by a post wedding shower. A wedding is kinda the culmination of celebrations. But you could definitely do dinner with her and her spouse and give them a present in person. Does she know/understand why you couldn’t make it?
