Postcard Save the Dates Stamps

Marla, on April 21, 2018 at 10:54 PM Posted in Planning 0 7

Hi- Looking to see if anyone else has come across this issue. I decided to do postcard save-the-dates from minted. I didn't look into stamp options but the only stamps that are currently available from the post office have sea shells on them. I don't really want to use those and don't want to pay 1 dollar per stamp for the custom stamps on minted or zazzle. Does anyone know of any other options? Thank you!!! -Marla

Amazon has floral stamps for the same price as post office.

I just used the dumb seashell stamps. This is a detail literally no one cares about, so I didn't see the need for extra effort or cost. You could just get regular letter postage "love" or floral stamps if you don't mind paying the 15 cents "extra" for each card.

I ran into the same problem and just ended up using the sea shells! I thought they would stick out like a sore thumb but against a white background it blended in well. Barely noticed.

Try amazon or eBay for older versions of the postcard stamps. Here are some birds: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/b012w3mbmm/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?ie=utf8&qid=1524400649&sr=8-1&pi=ac_sx236_sy340_ql65&keywords=35+cent+stamps&dppl=1&dpid=51mxxx6bcvl&ref=plsrch

Also I am pretty sure you could use a regular forever stamp. They are only a little more expensive and have a lot of color and design options!

Hi ! I know this post is pretty outdated , but was wondering if you had issues mailing your minted postcard save the dates? it looks like their save the dates signature paper is thicker then the. USPS standards and I am worried that I can't use my postcard stamps that I already bought ( also, they are still the seashells ! lol)

I work for a commercial mail house.

Here are the requirements for mailing using postcard stamps

    Rectangular

At least 3-1/2 inches high x 5 inches long x 0.007 inch thick

No more than 4-1/4 inches high x 6 inches long x 0.016 inches thick

    1oz or less.

    Hope that helps!
